Referral Program Terms

These terms cover the CPNRE Practice Test referral program specifically — becoming a partner, earning commission, and getting paid. They sit alongside, not instead of, our regular Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. What the referral program is

Anyone can become a referral partner, whether or not they are a CPNRE Practice Test customer. As a partner you get a personal referral link. When someone signs up through your link and pays for a CPNRE Practice Test subscription, you earn a commission on that payment. Signing up alone, without paying, earns nothing.

2. How commission is earned and how much

$10 CAD per successful payment, on every plan, for as long as the person you referred keeps paying. It is not a one-time bonus: a payment that renews pays you again, every time.

Commission is credited only when Stripe confirms an actual successful charge on the referred person’s subscription — never when they merely create an account, never when someone merely clicks your link. If they cancel, commission from that person stops. If they come back and pay again later, it resumes automatically, credited to the same partner who originally referred them.

There is no limit on how many people you may refer, and no cap on total earnings.

3. You cannot earn from your own account

Referring yourself does not earn a commission — including if you become a partner first and a paying customer second, on the same account. A payment you make on your own subscription is never credited to you, or to any other account you control.

This also covers the obvious workarounds: creating a second account to refer your first one, sharing a household or a card with the person you referred, or any other arrangement whose real purpose is to route your own money back to yourself as commission. We may withhold or reverse commission, and close the accounts involved, where this rule is being worked around.

4. Refunds, chargebacks and reversed commission

If a payment we paid you commission on is later refunded or charged back, that commission is reversed. Commission is a share of money we actually keep. If the money goes back to the customer, the commission goes with it.

How that works in practice, in the only two cases there are:

  • Not paid to you yet. The commission is simply removed from your balance before it is ever sent. In most cases you will not notice it happened.
  • Already paid to you. Your balance goes negative by that amount, and it shows that way on your Refer & Earn dashboard. We do not ask you to send money back and we do not invoice you — the amount is simply deducted from the commission you earn next, and your balance returns to positive from there.

A reversal is recorded as its own entry against the original payment, so your dashboard always shows both what was earned and what was taken back, rather than a number that quietly changed.

Repeated refunds or chargebacks concentrated on one partner’s referrals are treated as a sign of the referrals not being genuine, and may lead to commission being withheld and the partner account being closed under clause 7.

5. Getting paid

  • By Interac e-Transfer, and only by Interac e-Transfer. You give us the email address it should go to on your own Refer & Earn dashboard after you sign up; it is not collected at sign-up. Because Interac reaches Canadian bank accounts only, you need somewhere in Canada to receive the transfer in order to be paid.
  • Once a month, for whatever balance you have earned since your last payout — there is currently no minimum amount.
  • Commission still accrues before you have given us that email address. You simply cannot be paid until you do; nothing you have earned is lost while you wait.
  • We may ask you to confirm your identity or the payout email before sending a transfer, if something about it looks wrong.

6. Who can be a partner

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the details you give us — your name, email and, later, your payout email — must be accurate. One person, one partner account.

A partner-only account (registered without ever subscribing to CPNRE Practice Test) is free, and never requires a payment. If that account later also subscribes, both continue to apply to it: the learning app as a customer, and this referral program as a partner — clause 3 above still governs that account’s own payments.

7. What is not allowed

  • Spam: unsolicited bulk email, comment spam, or misleading advertising claiming an affiliation we have not agreed to.
  • Paid search or display advertising that bids on our brand name or close misspellings of it.
  • Any claim on our behalf that is not true — a pass guarantee, an official affiliation with a regulator, or similar.
  • Fraudulent, fabricated, or self-dealt referrals of any kind (see clause 3).

We may withhold commission, close a partner account, and — where a real customer was affected — take further action, if these are broken.

8. Changing or ending the program

We may change the commission amount, the payout method or schedule, or end the referral program entirely, at any time. A change does not undo commission you have already earned under the terms in place when you earned it — we will still pay out what you were already owed at the point of any change.

9. Your relationship with us

Being a referral partner does not make you an employee, agent or representative of CPNRE Practice Test, and you may not describe yourself as one. Commission payments are not a wage or salary, and reporting anything they may be taxable as is your own responsibility.

10. Privacy

What we collect and how we use it as a referral partner — including the data of people you refer — is covered in the “Referral Partners” section of our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your commission or how you are paid, we will email partners with an active link before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply there.

13. Contact
